Shin-Etsu Primer AQ-P | 700g

PRIMER-AQ-P is a silicone resin solvent-based primer used to promote chemical bonding and enhance the adhesion of silicone sealant and RTV.

Compared to conventional primers, these primers improve the adhesiveness to difficult-to-bond substrates, including acrylic electrodeposition and fluorocarbon polymer coating.

The drying time is shorter than conventional primers so that it can contribute to productivity.

Specification

Packaging: 700 g can

Applications

PRIMER-AQ-P is designed for improving adhesion to a variety of substrates. To achieve the optimum bonding results, the following steps are recommended:

  1. Thoroughly clean the surface with a suitable solvent, such as ethanol, to remove dirt, oil, and grease. Allow the solvent to dry.
  2. After the solvent dries, apply PRIMER-AQ-P with clean clothes, brushing, dipping, or spraying. Less is better. In most cases, a thin film of primer will provide the best results.
  3. At room temperature and 50%RH, the primer coat should dry for 10 minutes.
  4. Once the primer has been allowed to dry appropriately, apply RTV silicone sealant as directed.

*conduct adhesion tests with actual substrates before using the sealant.
