GSA Low Modulus Sealant façade 600ml | GSA® Façade Sealant for construction joint sealing applications

GSA Façade Sealant is a trusted construction joint solution. The GSA Façade Sealant is a one-component, low-modulus MS sealant designed specifically for construction joint sealing applications.

One of its standout features is its ability to adhere perfectly to most surfaces, even damp ones, without the need for a primer. This saves you time and effort during application. The sealant's low modulus ensures flexibility, accommodating movement between different building materials. Additionally, it boasts a neutral curing formula, making it almost odourless and suitable for clean room applications without the concern of outgassing.

Rest assured, the GSA Façade Sealant is free of isocyanates, solvents, and silicone, providing a safer and healthier sealing solution. Its non-shrink and bubble-free properties ensure a smooth and reliable finish. With excellent resistance to UV rays, water, and weather, this sealant maintains its performance even under harsh conditions. Its high mechanical resistance guarantees durability while remaining permanently elastic to accommodate structural movements.

Packaging: 600 ml sausage, 12 units per outer carton

Colour Options: Black, Grey, White

Applications: With its exceptional performance properties and wide range of compatible surfaces, this sealant is a reliable choice for various construction projects. Whether you're working with concrete, brick, blockwork, plasterboard, aluminium windows, fibreglass, specialty systems, metal curtain walls, or water tanks, the GSA Façade Sealant has got you covered. However, please note some limitations. The GSA Façade Sealant is not suitable for use on PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, soft plastics, neoprene, bituminous materials, natural stone, mirrors, or in combination with chlorides (pools). Please consider these factors when selecting the appropriate sealant for your specific needs.

Application Guide

Application of the GSA Façade Sealant is straightforward. It serves as a universal sealant for construction and dilatation joints, as well as joints in pedestrian walkways, on a variety of common building materials. It simplifies the sealing process, ensuring a reliable and long-lasting result.

To achieve optimal results, it is essential to follow proper joint dimensions. The depth of the joint should be proportionate to its width. As a general guideline, for joints up to 10 mm wide, maintain a 1:1 ratio of joint depth to width, with a minimum width and depth of 5 mm. For wider joints, calculate the depth as the width divided by 3, plus 6 mm. The GSA Façade Sealant is compatible with water-based and most 2-component paints, but it is advisable to test compatibility before application. For best results, paint within a few days after applying the sealant.

To prepare the surfaces for application, ensure they are solid, clean, dry, and free from grease and dust. The GSA Façade Sealant adheres perfectly to most non-porous substrates without the need for a primer.
